Once again the Town Hall of Lorca is offering the chance to follow a “Ruta de los Belenes” in the city, touring various elaborate and monumental nativity scenes throughout the festive season.
The Belenes included in the proposed route are the following:
Belén Monumental Municipal in the Palacio de Guevara. Open 11.00 to 13.30 and 17.30 to 20.30.
Museo del Belén in the church of San Roque, the oldest church in Lorca. Open from December 13 to 23 between 10.30 abd 13.00, from December 25 onwards 10.30 to 13.30 and 17.30 to 20.00.
Paso Blanco: at the headquarters of the brotherhood, open 11.00 to 13.00 and 17.00 to 20.00.
Archaeological museum: A tableau fashioned from olive wood grown in the Garden of Gethsemane, on loan from Las Clarisas in Lorca. Museum opening times Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 19.00, Sundays 10.00 to 14.00. Closed December 25, January 1 and 6.
The convent church of Nuestra Señora de la Virgen de las Huertas, a “Belén” made by Ignacio Simón Sevilla. Open 17.30 to 20.00, Sundays and public holidays 9.00 to 12.00.
Parish church of San Diego: open Tuesday to Saturday 17.00 to 20.00, Sundays and public holidays 10.00 to 13.00 .
The Belén of the Church of Santiago choir inside the Iglesia de Santiago. Open 11.30 to 13.30 and 17.30 to 20.00.
Hermanas Clarisas: visits only by prior arrangement, telephone 968 477773.
Paso Azul: at the headquarters of the brotherhood, open 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 19.30.
Almenara shopping mall: during shop opening hours.
La Viña neighbours association: open 10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 20.00.
Parish church of San José: Monday to Saturday 18.30 to 20.30, Sundays and public holidays 11.30 to 13.30.
