May 17, 18 and 19 Los Arejos fiestas
Get ready for a music-filled weekend in Águilas
The Águilas village of Los Arejos is set to hold its annual festival this May 17, 18 and 19, dedicated to its patron saint, San Isidro Labrador. The festivities, organised by the Councillor for Festivities, Cristóbal Casado, and overseen by Counicllor for Pedanías Juan Ramón Gallego, feature an exciting line-up of events.
On Friday at 10pm, the weekend kicks off with a performance by Rumbas Zurdas.
On Saturday, a futsal tournament takes place from 12pm to 8.30pm, followed by a Mass honouring San Isidro at 7pm. A procession follows the service.
At 10pm, enjoy the humurous musical performance by Águilas chirigota, then dance the night away with La Trampa's ‘Tribute to the 80s’ at 11pm.
To cap off the night, rising star María Parrado will give a special concert starting at 12.30am.
Finish off your celebratory weekend on Sunday with fun-filled activities for kids from 1pm to 5pm, featuring complimentary inflatables.
Savour a communal paella lunch at 2.30pm (a small contribution of 3 euros is requested), and wrap up the festivities with a live set by Josema Alcaraz & Band at 4pm.

Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)
Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.
The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
