Until August 17 Art exhibition paying homage to Águilas journalists
The town’s Auditorium is hosting the exhibition in honour of the group ‘Las cuatro plumas’

From now until Sunday August 17, the Águilas Auditorium is hosting the art exhibition ‘Las cuatro plumas. Fertile residence’, inaugurated by the Mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the Councillor for Culture, José Antonio Consentino, relatives of Las Cuatro Plumas and the curator of the exhibition, María Verónica de Haro.
The exhibition pays tribute to the journalists Jesús de la Serna, Salvador Jiménez, Miguel Ors, Miguel Pérez Calderón – known as the Cuatro Plumas (Four Feathers) – and Pura Ramos (the fifth feather). The exhibition aims to highlight their contribution to the promotion of Águilas through the media during the years of developmentalism and their collaboration with the Águilas Novel Prize (1968-1972) designed by Ángel María de Lera.
The exhibition brings together paintings, sculpture, manuscripts, books, press articles and personal objects of the journalists, donated for the occasion by their families.
The exhibition has been organised by the University of Murcia and the Águilas Town Council under the special curatorship of Professor María Verónica de Haro de San Mateo.
It is open to the public to go and see during Auditorium opening hours, from Tuesday to Sunday between 7pm and 10pm.
