The Canary Islands promotes the Region of Murcia as a top tourist destination
A new campaign has been launched to boost the flow of tourists through Corvera Airport

The Institute of Tourism (Itrem) and airline Binter have joined forces to promote the Region of Murcia as a top tourism destination in the Canary Islands, with the aim of increasing traffic through Corvera Airport with even more flights during the 2023-2024 season.
Binter began operating in the Region of Murcia back in October 2019 and in this period has ferried more than 73,000 passengers to and from Corvera. The airline flies year-round, three times a week.
As a sign of Binter's commitment to Murcia, since December 2021, the offer of seats has increased by 50%, exceeding 40,000 per year.
The new campaign will push the Region as an attractive holiday destination on Binter’s own website as well as through promotional posters at Las Palmas, Tenerife and Lanzarote airports, the on-board magazine and at local bus terminals.
Its main objective is to "promote this connection so that the Region continues to be seen as an ideal destination to enjoy throughout the year with the best offer of experiences, with the best professionals and with the better service," explained Tourism Minister Marcos Ortuño. The initiative builds on the Ministry’s plans to create more routes through the island’s busiest airports as well as increasing the number of existing connections.
All those involved met on Monday July 31 to officially get the campaign off the ground. The focus, a regional spokesperson explained, will be to promote Murcia to companies and professionals in the sector, highlighting the Region’s cultural, gastronomical and leisure offerings that include everything from active tourism, wine routes, spas and more, with a special role for the Jubilee Year that Caravaca de la Cruz will celebrate in 2024.
