Sunny spells give way to overcast skies: Alicante weather forecast Jan 23-26

The storm set to batter much of Spain will thankfully miss the Costa Blanca for the most part

Average temperatures expected on Saturday

This coming weekend, Storm Éowyn is expected to sweep in from the UK and lead to torrential rain and thunderstorms in much of Spain. Thankfully, the weather front should avoid Alicante province for the most part but the cloud cover will increase over the next few days and some inland areas can expect a little light rain.

Thursday January 23

Alicante can look forward to mostly sunny skies on Thursday with some cloudy intervals in the north of the province.

Daytime temperatures will hover between 19 and 23ºC and the evening will be a little chillier than earlier in the week.

Friday January 24

Friday will be bright and sunny throughout the province with only a light breeze coming from the west. Daytime temperatures will dip slightly, topping out in the low-20s.

Saturday January 25

After a bright start, the skies will darken on Saturday afternoon across the board and there’s a chance of some light showers inland. The westerly wind will also gather strength and gusts could develop later in the day.

Few changes are expected temperature-wise.

Sunday January 26

Sunday will begin much brighter but it will become rather cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures will again drop throughout the province, bringing a likelihood of frost inland.

The winds should die down to a light breeze in most parts.

Friday January 24: Min 8ºC; Max 21ºC
Saturday January 25: Min 8ºC; Max 21ºC
Sunday January 26: Min 6ºC; Max 20ºC
