September 20 Beach-cleaning excursions to the coves of Cabo Tiñoso

Clean up the beaches of Cala Bolete Grande and Cala Salitrona on World Beaches Day!

World Beach Day falls on the third Saturday in September every year, and to mark the occasion the Town Hall of Cartagena is supporting an initiative by Proyecto LIBERA to organize two beach-cleaning activities in Cala Bolete Grande and Cala Salitrona, on the less visited eastern side of Cabo Tiñoso on the following day, 20^th September.

The clean-ups begin at 9.30 in the car parking area of Campillo de Adentro with a guided hike of around 5.5 kilometres to and from Cala Bolete and 7 km to and from Grande Cala Salitrona forming a part of the activities. In all, the whole trip is expected to last around 4 hours, getting back in time for lunch either at the Cantina of Campillo or in the nearby coastal villages of Isla Plana and La Azohía.
