ARCHIVED - Number of deaths in Spain remain below 100 for third consecutive day
ARCHIVED ARTICLE 295 new cases were diagnosed on Tuesday
The number of fatalities was 83 during the last 24 hours, the third consecutive day below 100; the number of fatalities on Sunday was 87, and 59 on Monday, the lowest figures in two months. These are the lowest figures recorded since the 16th March when there were 22 deaths; after this date the figures shot up and have remained higher ever since.
This brings the total figure to date up to 27,778.
During Tuesday 295 new cases were confirmed by the PCR swab testing method, bringing the total numbers diagnosed positive in Spain to 232,037.
The number of new cases recorded on Monday was 285, as opposed to the 421 of Sunday. This brings the number of new cases down to a level not seen since the pandemic was first officially classified as such on 8th March.
