Spain has already enjoyed a lovely settled start to the week but it’s definitely going to end on a high, with daytime temperatures expected to soar into the 30s amid predominantly sunny skies.

 

Both day and night-time temperatures will climb across the board on Thursday, hovering around 26ºC or 27ºC in large parts of Murcia and Andalucia. Mostly clear and sunny skies are expected, expected in the far north and west, where heavy clouds will prevail.

 

The same pattern will be repeated on Friday, with sunny skies in most of mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands but lots of cloud cover and the occasional shower in the extreme northwest.

 

Temperatures will rise by another degree or two in most places.

 

Mostly clear skies are expected again on Saturday, although with some high cloud cover, except in the north of the Spain, where cloudy skies will prevail once more with light rain in the Cantabrian Mountains and the Pyrenees. There will be abundant cloud development during the day with light showers inland, locally moderate and accompanied by thunderstorms in the mountains.

 

Night-time temperatures will remain very mild as the heat continues to climb at the height of the day, approaching 30ºC in most of the far south.

 

The settled weather dominated by high pressure is expected to continue across most of the country. Skies will be mostly clear, although with some high cloud cover, except in the north, where it will again be quite overcast and showery.

 

Few changes are expected temperature-wise on Sunday.
