Guided tours and activities at the Roman theatre in Cartagena October 2026
Morning and evening visits for children and adults at the main historical sites of Cartagena
The Cartagena Puerto de Culturas organization is holding an extremely wider range of guided tours and activities during October, with particular efforts being made to attract visitors over the long holiday weekend of 9th to 12th of the month:
Audioguide tour in Spanish or English, available every day
Museo del Teatro Romano y Museo del Foro Romano, route: Museo del Teatro Romano, Calle del Aire, Plaza San Francisco, Museo Foro Romano Molinete, Calle Mayor, Museo Naval, port, Plaza del Ayuntamiento and back to the Museo del Teatro Romano.
Duration: approximately 2 and a half hours
Price: 15 euros (including entry to both sites)
Fridays
El Secreto de Peral y los Planes Perdidos, another family activity in which a letter is found after being sent by Isaac Peral to a close relative, asking them to ensure that an unspecified item does not fall into the wrong hands. Investigators believe the letter included a missing piece without which his submarine won’t work…
Venue: Casa Museo de Isaac Peral.

Saturdays
Ven al Teatro, Romano Soy, is a visit during which the origins of the Roman theatre are explored as well as the performances to honour Dionysius. Once the tour reaches the theatre itself, there a comedy and a musical performance are staged.

El Profundo Peral (Deep Peral) is a tour which begins in the museum in the house of Isaac Peral, one of the great innovators in naval engineering during the 18th century, and follows a route featuring Modernist architectures to reach the Sala Peral in the Naval Museum. Here you can see the electric submarine which was hailed as one of the most important advances of its time, before joining a boat trip in the harbour.

Sundays
Cartagena Romana y Mediterránea, a guided tour including the museums of the Roman Theatre and the Roman Forum, to see the cultural and archaeological legacy and understand the importance of the sea via a trip on the tourist boat.
Route: Museo del Teatro Romano, Museo del Foro Romano Molinete, tourist boat
Time: 10.30 (tourist boat at 16.30)
Price: 16 euros for those who are not members of Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
Monday October 12
Caminos de Roma, a guided walk during which you will see the hidden Carthago Nova which lies beneath street level, including the Roman Theatre and the Forum as well as the Cardo Máximo, the main north-south street which ran through the city 2,000 years ago.
Start: 10.30 at the Museo del Foro Romano
Price: 13 euros (10 euros children and pensioners, free for Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas members)
Sundays
Del Teatro a la Domus del Pórtico, a guided tour starting at the Roman Theatre and heading for the Callejón de la Soledad, location of the Domus del Pórtico.
Time: 11.00
Price 7 euros.
Dramatized visit, El Castillo Embrujado
In this event actors represent the Witches of Salem, who return to life at the Castillo de la Concepción with their spells and cunning devilry. The musical tells how they take control of the castle in a scary but fun show!
Dates: October 10, 11, 12, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 and November 1 at 18.00, October 17 and 18 at 12.00
Venue: Castillo de la Concepción (including the Panoramic lift on the way up – please meet at the bottom of the lift 15 minutes before the starting time)
Price: 18 euros (9 euros for toddlers under 3)
