Fun and prizes await in Mazarrón's Valentine's Day shopping campaign

The ‘El Flechazo’ campaign aims to promote local Mazarrón businesses by offering big rewards

Mazarrón is gearing up for a festive Valentine's Day with the launch of the ‘El Flechazo’ campaign, an initiative designed to promote local businesses and reward the loyalty of both residents and visitors.

The Councillor for Commerce and Consumption, Silvia García, officially presented the new edition of this annual campaign this week, highlighting its expanded reach and enhanced benefits for the community.

“In previous campaigns, we have seen great participation and a positive impact on our businesses. For this reason, this year we have decided to make participation even easier,” she said.

Building on this past success, the 2025 edition aims to make the campaign more accessible by reducing the minimum purchase amount required to participate. Shoppers will have to spend a minimum of 10 euros in order to join in and be in with a chance of winning lots of exciting prizes.

The ‘El Flechazo’ campaign will run from February 10 to February 14, coinciding with the Valentine's Day weekend.

Shoppers who make purchases in participating shops can visit designated meeting points in Plaza Toneleros (Puerto de Mazarrón) and Plaza del Convento (Mazarrón) to participate in a fun game and win direct prizes.

To add an extra layer of excitement, a grand prize of 100 euros will be raffled off among all participants, which can be spent in local shops.

But the campaign is not only focused on rewarding shoppers, but also on recognising the efforts of retailers. For this reason, the 6th edition of the Valentine's Day window display competition is being held, in which shops that decorate their windows with the campaign theme will be eligible for prizes of 120 euros and 80 euros for the best designs.

Mazarrón Town Hall is calling on local businesses to take part in this initiative and is encouraging residents to shop in Mazarrón.
