ARCHIVED - Fiestas de Los Dolores in Alhama de Murcia: September 15 to 19
Residents and tourists alike can enjoy concerts, fireworks and comedy acts in the Alhama de Murcia municipality
After last year’s festivities were cancelled due to Covid, Alhama de Murcia has released this year’s programme for the Fiestas in the Los Dolores neighbourhood, which will take place between September 15 and 19.
The traditional Fiestas include concerts, photography exhibitions and organized hikes and this year’s programme is as follows:
-Wednesday, September 15, all day: residents and tourists can visit the Virgen de los Dolores (for whom the Fiestas are named) at the neighbourhood church.
-Thursday, September 16, 18.00h: inauguration of the ‘Fiestas in the Los Dolores neighbourhood’ photography exhibition on the church promenade. The display can be visited until Sunday, September 19.
-Thursday, September 16, 18.00h: opening of stands and attractions.
-Thursday, September 16, 21.00h: performance by the folk music group ‘Virgen del Rosario’ on the stage; invitations can be collected from the César Portillo photography studio (from 17.00h to 20.30h).
-Friday, September 17, 21.00h: performance by ‘Especial RC’ on the stage; invitations can be collected from the César Portillo photography studio (from 17.00h to 20.30h).
-Saturday, September 18, 8.00h: IX edition of the La Muela hiking route organized by the Neighbourhood Festivities Committee with collaboration from the municipal departments of Environment and Security and Civil Protection.
-Saturday, September 18, 19.00h: ‘Magia por doquier’ childrens’ show on the stage; invitations can be collected from the César Portillo photography studio (from 17.00h to 20.30h).
-Saturday, September 18, 21.00h: Flamenco Night with performances from ‘Guillermo Ramos’ and the ‘Costa Blanca’ trio on the stage; invitations can be collected from the César Portillo photography studio (from 17.00h to 20.30h).
-Sunday, September 19, 10.00h: fireworks and bell-tolling to kick off the last day of the festivities.
-Sunday, September 19, 20.30h: Mass at the neighbourhood Calvario church with singing from the ‘La edad de oro’ musical group.
-Sunday, September 19, 22.00h: comedic performance by Verónica Lozano followed by the ‘San Miguel’ show on the stage; invitations can be collected from the César Portillo photography studio (from 17.00h to 20.30h).
-Sunday, September 19, 23.30h: large firework display to end the 2021 Fiestas.
