Free guided tours in Águilas during May
Sunday 2nd May, Marina de Cope walking tour
Start: 9.30 in the morning (coordinates 37.469325 -1.499722).
The easy 4.7-kilometre walk in the Regional Park of Cabo Cope y Puntas de Calnegre will take approximately two and a half hours, allowing participants to see the natural and cultural highlights of the area. These include various bird nesting zones, picturesque coves, Roman remains, the wetlands next to Playa del Saladar and the sourve of a thermal spring.
The route includes part of the GR-92 path and is in two parts, firstly a two-way walk along the same path and then a loop from La Galera to the Playa del Pocico del Animal. There are no especially difficult sections, and appropriate clothing and footwear, a cap, a bottle of water and sun cream are recommended.

Covid protocols apply to this event: facemasks must be worn, social distancing must be maintained between members of different households and disinfectant gel will be supplied by the guide. The maximum group size is limited to 10 people.
Booking a place implies acceptance of all of these conditions.
In the event of bad weather the tour could be subject to cancellation.

The Mr Gillman and El Hornillo tour
Start: the railway station of Águilas at 10.00.
Duration: approximately 2 hours

This tour takes participants through the history of the traders and industrialists who played such an important role in the economy of Águilas in the second half of the 19th century and the first 30 years of the 20th, among them Gustavo Gillman. The route includes the Monument to the Railway, the bridge over the Rambla de las Culebras, the Sendero del Hornillo, the museum which has been created in the railway tunnel, the Embarcadero del Hornillo loading jetty and the railway station. Dialogue in Spanish.

Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra with the pro-music association performing Liszt, Mozart and Weber. 19.00: Despedida de Casada, Spanish theatre.
