ARCHIVED - Car to be won in Cartagena shopping campaign: December 17 to January 17
Purchases made in the Cartagena municipality count as entries to the prize draw
The Town Hall in Cartagena has announced a new shopping campaign to boost sales for local businesses and give consumers the chance to win a brand new car.
The campaign will run from December 17 until January 17 and is going to be highly publicised in the local media. A series of live radio programmes in the city centre and surrounding neighbourhoods has also been organised to give even more publicity to the event.
Everyone who participates in the campaign by shopping locally will have the chance to enter their ticket or tickets into a prize draw. Submissions can be made using a web application and ten winners are going to be picked to make sure that the prize is claimed; if no answer is received from the first person, the organisers will make their way down the list.
The president of the Confederation of Business Organisations of Cartagena and Comarca (COEC) has thanked the Town Hall for their support and has urged the public to shop locally and support their neighbourhood businesses, especially over the festive period.
How to enter the competition
First, all participants must be registered on the COEC website, and with every purchase, customers will be given the option to “validate their ticket”. For each receipt, a form must be filled out, with the name of the business, its CIF, the date of purchase, the total purchase price and a picture of the ticket.
After filling out all of the details, there will be an option to “send ticket”. With each purchase (and ticket submission), the participant increases their chances of winning the car.
In addition, it is very important to keep hold of the receipts, as the raffle winner will be asked to show their lucky ticket before being given the amazing prize.
