ARCHIVED - Bank holiday activity programme in Aguilas: December 3 to 8
Exhibitions, fairs and sporting activities are amongst this weekend’s programme in Águilas, Murcia
The municipality of Águilas has an extensive cultural programme with a wide range of activities and events catered to all ages, so there is no shortage of things to do and see this weekend:
- Friday December 3, 6.30pm: Christmas lighting ceremony in the Plaza de España.
- Friday December 3, 7pm: charity art exhibition by Antonio Liceran, with all proceeds going to the AFEMAC Association. The exhibition is open until January 7.
- Friday December 3, 8.30pm: ‘El Mensaje’ talk by Roberto Cerrada at the Francisco Rabal Casa de Cultura (Culture House). Free entry.
- Friday December 3: opening of the Train Exhibition, which will be visitable until December 30 at the Manuel Coronado exhibition room at the Casa de Cultura (Culture House).
- Saturday December 4, 8.30pm: ‘Amor y Locura’ theatrical performance at the Infanta Doña Elena Auditorium. Prices start at eight euros.
- Saturday December 4: Childrens’ Fair open from 5.30pm to closing.
- Saturday December 4 and Sunday December 5: XIII Charity Christmas Padel Tournament organised by the Águilas padel club. For more information call 616 972 476.
- Sunday December 5: Childrens’ Fair open from 11.30am to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm to closing.
- Monday December 6: Childrens’ Fair open from 11.30am to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm to closing.
- Tuesday December 7: Childrens’ Fair open from 5.30pm to closing.
- Wednesday December 8: Childrens’ Fair open from 11.30am to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm to closing.
Other activities
- ‘Esculturas’ exhibition: by Lucia Montero at the Infanta Doña Elena Auditorium, open to the public from December 2 to 30 from Tuesday to Sunday between 6pm and 9pm.
- Learn Folklore: an initiative aimed at recovering and celebrating the musical traditions of La Marina by giving singing, dancing and musical instrument lessons. For more information call Miguel on 696 887 062.
- Childrens’ Drawing Contest: the theme is padel and Christmas and participants have to submit their drawings between December 1 and 30 at the Águilas Padel Club. For more information call 616 972 476.
And don’t forget that all of the Águilas museums (except the Carnival Museum) and the Castle will remain open throughout the bank holiday!
