Cloudy skies with occasional rain and breezy winds across the region

This weekend in Andalucía, expect a mix of cloudy spells, showers and some thunderstorms notably in the eastern half. Temperatures will dip a little on Thursday and Friday, then hold steady or rise slightly during the weekend. Winds will be light to moderate mostly from the west and east, becoming stronger near the Strait and eastern coastlines.

 

 

Partly cloudy skies will be common with plenty of cloud building through the day. Showers and thunderstorms are likely from midday in the eastern third, around Granada and Almería, with some possibly strong bursts. These may spread more lightly and less intensely to other mountainous areas. Temperatures will fall in places but remain steady locally. Light to moderate westerly winds will become occasionally strong near the Strait of Gibraltar.

 

 

In the northeast, including Jaén and the nearby mountains, expect partly cloudy skies with some afternoon showers possible. Elsewhere, especially near Cádiz and Huelva, overcast skies bring widespread showers and thunderstorms that may become heavy and frequent through the afternoon. Temperatures fall mostly but climb a little in the west along the Atlantic coast, with highs of 24-27. Easterly winds will strengthen to moderate or strong along the Tarifa coast and the Strait, lighter elsewhere.

 

 

Skies will be partly cloudy with cloud building during the day and isolated showers in the southeast. Thunderstorms may accompany some of these showers. Temperatures remain generally unchanged, with Seville and Córdoba reaching a warm 31 degrees. Winds stay easterly, moderate or strong at times along the coast and Strait, lighter inland.

 

 

Cloudy intervals continue with isolated mountain showers possible by afternoon, along with a chance of thunder. Temperatures hold steady or rise slightly. Winds are easterly, moderate with strong gusts along Almería’s coast and in the Strait region, light elsewhere.

 

 

Across the next few days, Andalucía will see a blend of duller skies, wet spells and some lively winds but there will still be warm and pleasant moments too. Keep a jacket handy but don’t forget sunnier breaks, especially inland and in the west.
