Click HereThe Town Hall of Águilas has set procedures in motion for the opening of a cemetery devoted to pets in the municipality, having requested permission to do so from the regional government department of Agricultural and Livestock Production.
Councillors Isabel Fernández and María Dolores García explain that there is considerable demand for such an addition to the infrastructures in Águilas, and that for many residents their pets are important enough to make a cemetery devoted to them a viable project. It is for the same sector of the population that dog-friendly beaches and public parks have been designated, but the cemetery project is still in its very early stages as yet and no date has been set for its conclusion.
