The woman was taken by helicopter to Cartagena’s Santa Lucía hospital with serious injuries
The Emergency services in Murcia have had to rescue a woman who was seriously injured while walking in the vicinity of Monte Roldán in Cartagena and transported her to hospital by helicopter.The call came through to the 112 Emergency number in Spain at 11.32am on Wednesday November 30 from the daughter of the injured woman, reporting the incident.A crew of firefighters from the Fire Department, Rescue and Civil Protection of the City of Cartagena and a Mobile Emergency Unit with medical staff of the Emergency Management and Health Emergencies 061 all rushed to the scene.After being rescued by firefighters and checked over by paramedics, the woman was airlifted to the Hospital Santa Lucia in Cartagena by the Consortium of Fire Fighting and Rescue of the Region of Murcia.She is suffering from what were termed “serious injuries”.Image: 112
