14 restaurants in Águilas are taking part in the “Pescados y Huerta de Nuestra Tierra” gastronomic event which runs from Friday 23rd October to Sunday 1st November, each offering its own menu based on local produce both from the sea and from the fields and farms of the area.
Each menu comprises three starters, a main course, dessert and a drink, with prices per person falling in the 25- to 50-euro range. Among the specialities featured are the typical white and red prawns of Águilas, “chato murciano” (pork from a breed of pig unique to the Region of Murcia), milt, octopus, monkfish, belly of tuna, blackmouth catshark, corvina and a wide selection of fresh locally grown vegetables.
The organizers stress that all of the restaurants involved in this gastronomic event are fully adapted to the current situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic, with measures in place to prevent the spread of infection on the premises.
Further information can be found at the restaurants taking part and various sources online, including the social network profiles of Hosteaguilas and the Águilas tourist office, where leaflets are available showing full menus, prices, booking details and the Covid-19 prevention precautions which are being implemented as well as the pdf link given above.
The restaurants taking part are Restaurante Mari Luz, Restaurante La Veleta, Restaurante Ginés, Restaurante La Chimenea (as of 28th October), Restaurante Tiburón, Restaurante El Refugio, Restaurante Zoco del Mar, Arrecife Resto-Bar, Restaurante El Pecado, Restaurante Nostra Braseria, Restaurante Costa Azul, Restaurante Origen, Restaurante Maxcaly and Posada del Galeón.
