Throughout the weekend of 22nd to 24th November Lorca enjoys its annual fiestas patronales in honour of San Clemente, one of the key acts being the Mediaeval Market which occupies the central plazas of the city. Click for full programme of San Clemente 2019 in Lorca
This is a large market with more than 100 stands offering a wide range of hand crafted items and gastronomic goodies, with plenty of jewellery, leather, ceramics, candles, cosmetics, wood-turned items and lots more to tempt visitors into buying a few early Christmas presents.
There is also a children's themed play area, along with musicians and entertainers.
In addition, there's a large open tavern area, with plenty to eat and drink on offer.
The market opens for the evening on Friday 22nd November, and on Saturday and Sunday the shopping beginning mid-morning, at around 11am until late evening.ç
Open 11.00 to 14.30 and 17.00 to 23.00 (starting at 12.00 on the first day).
